Setting up your Internet Connection
Dial Up Networking is the Windows Component that allows you to connect to the internet.
This portion of Windows tells the modem how to process information and should any of these
settings be incorrect several problems can occur. If you are experiencing troubles viewing
Web Pages or staying connected this could be the problem. The steps on the following pages
can assist you in creating a new Dial-Up Connection or correct the settings of your existing

If you are experiencing some problems with your connection you may need to examine the settings for your Dial-Up Connection (DUC). These settings can be very specific and all should be a certain way.
